Our new Hand Gun Range

The Most Recent Upgrades to the Queensville Shooting Range

During our last annual meeting for 2014, held on Tuesday October 7, 2014 at the Port Hawkesbury Strait Area Education & Recreation Center, our members of THE CAPE NOVA RIFLE AND REVOLVER CLUB voted infavour of the installation of a brand new Hand Gun Range.

At the next meeting held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 7:30 P.M our borad members presented us a lot of details and updated us about the stage of the planning.

And since June 2015 it is done: Our brand new hand gun range is ready to be used.

Announcement of our Vice-President: Kevin Sampson

On behalf of our members, we would like thank each and everyone who helped the club with the most recent upgrades to the Queensville Gun Range.
These upgrades would not have been achievable without your involvement.
Because of your support we were able to provide for some needed upgrades to the facilty so as to continue to operate the range that was originally formed some 30 years ago.
Established better safety postings and awareness at the site for all users. Provided a new 25 meter shelter and backstop. To continue to attract new members.
Again, we would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt “Thank You!”.

Some notable individuals/groups are:

  • Our members,
  • the R.C.M.P. and other end users for their input during the conceptual phase and future planning/improvements,
  • The DNR representatives and their employees for their guidance and contributions,
  • The contractors and members/volunteers for their donated their time during the construction and improvements to the range,
  • Our President Jan Ellingsen - for his additional time and expenses, his continued dedication, his commitments to the improvements and the efforts in the coordination of all users.

We look forward to working with you again soon.
